Operator Training
ETS teamed up with Ross Energy, LLC to develop the Top Ops Program which is customized for existing Multifamily and commercial buildings, and focuses on improving concise day-to-day activities.
The training is empowering building staff and management to develop long-term plans and address skill and protocol gaps. Strategies include:
On-site Group Training– Multiple scheduling options addressed needs of priority populations who have less flexibility for travel and scheduling.
Field Training– Facilitated sessions with student data forms and conducted in boiler rooms that were similar to the ones maintained by all course participants.
Instructional Props- Table top props give students hands-on experience with weatherization and steam main venting procedures.
Instructional Videos and Animations- Visualize key concepts such as diagnosing and adjustment of controls and techniques for insulating steam pipes.
A key component of Top Ops is one-on-one training at staff locations. Our trainers provide site evaluation along with instruction on skills such as weatherization and heating system control optimization. By taking this approach we build on accountability, while targeting training to precise situations encountered by staff.
